"Days for Girls"

Daysforgirls.org is an organization that makes and distributes drawstring bags to young girls in 3rd world countries, filled with reusable/washable monthly supplies. They do not have access to such items (nor a way to dispose of them if they did) and miss a week of school each month which hinders their success greatly. More complete information is posted here.  Please access this information to learn about this worthwhile project. See photo on left.

Joyce Daniel ( 706-467-3652) has a donated Sewing Machine
 Details below:
A new lady at our church gave me her mom's sewing machine a few months ago.  It is in a cabinet and has to stay in the cabinet to sew. None of the  ladies who I am teaching have room for a cabinet sewing machine,  so I need to find a home for this gem.
The cabinet is in nice condition; One-owner, Nonsmoking home. It sews straight stitch and sews it very well. Comes with a few accessories. It has been cleaned and runs really well. Would do well for basic sewing or quilting but IMO could also handle heavy duty sewing.
The machine is in my garage in Reynolds and can be picked up there. No charge, but a donation to Threads of Love will be appreciated.

I am looking for someone to make 2 coordinating twin-size quilts using baby clothes.  I would love to be in touch with several Quilters to see some samples of work so that I can select the look I am envisioning.
